What a wonderful, inspiring message Lila gave to the Women’s Council of Realtors.  She was a treat to hear and all who attended had incredible things to say                            about the event.

Thank you so much for your inspiring talk. It truly was moving, funny and energizing. I have forced myself to eat the toad/frog and got back on the treadmill – I will think of you as I move towards my goal to drop this unwanted weight! Thank you again Lila – you were amazing.

…As always…you did a fantastic job…I really enjoyed having you there..I’ve received nothing but praises from so many of the women who came out that night. They truly responded to you. I just don’t know how we top it??…- but I better figure it out…Perhaps two Lilas? I’ve got a whole year to think about it…
Thanks again.

Lila equals mc squared. I don’t know anyone with the energy or creative drive she has. Lucky for you if that energy is directed in your behalf.

No challenge is too big, too difficult, too daunting or too unusual for Lila. She approaches everything with a winning attitude and a desire to experience the best life has to offer. She is motivational, encouraging and shows life in a new light. There is a lot to learn from Lila today as there will be tomorrow.

When I brought the Ladera Ranch Detroit Implant Institute into our community, I needed a method to make the public and dentists aware of the program. My first thought was to work with Lila to create an educational production that I would be proud of. Lila’s professionalism, high quality creativity and excellent camera demeanor made for an outstanding result that has brought many doctors and patients into my practice. She made me look good! I highly recommend Lila and will do more productions with her in the future.

I cannot imagine a better voice for our fight than Lila’s. Breast cancer wages war on women’s bodies every day; but once a year, Lila transforms that war. May 21, 2011 will be our 20th Race. Lila Lazarus is the voice, the face, the spirit and the passion everyone associates with this great community party that brings more than 35,000 people together every year at Comerica Park. As the emcee of our opening ceremony, Lila leads us in a celebration of survivorship and the memory of lives—still too many!—lost to this disease. She makes us sing, cry and laugh. She touches our hearts—and fortunately, our wallets. She has helped us raise more than $19.3 million. She has educated our community with powerful stories about breast cancer and the challenges and victories right here in metro Detroit. A small but mighty leader, she has helped us make a real impact. At one time, it was her job. It soon became her passion. She is an incredibly talented and generous volunteer who coined the phrase we all now use in reference to the Komen Detroit Race for the Cure: “the best day in the City of Detroit.”
We recently gave Lila an award – a shiny, small token of our love for all the love she puts into this. She is our biggest cheerleader, our brightest star, and she has only one answer when called upon to help: “Whatever you need me to do!” Lila’s awards are countless for her role as a journalist and advocate. She is a past winner of the Karmanos Cancer Institute Heroes of Breast Cancer and is now the very proud president of the non-profit Kids Kicking Cancer. I hope Lila will be with us until cancer is kicked and wiped clean off the face of the earth!
She is the heart and soul of our Race. On behalf of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, local presenting sponsor, I say “we can never thank her enough.”

“Lila is a force of nature, a tornado on two legs. Compared to her, the Energizer Bunny needs Geritol.”

Few broadcast journalists can cut to the heart of the matter like Lila Lazarus. She can take disparate facts, figures, people and ideas and create the most compelling piece of visual art possible. She is truly gifted, and I feel blessed to know her.
